My Time Spent Abroad

One of my favorite things to do is travel. From simple beach road trips to adventures across the world, I’ve explored 13 countries, and each place has given me a new perspective.

This past summer, I spent two weeks in Cape Town, and it truly transformed me. We embraced every adventure imaginable, from skydiving to shark cage diving, but the most meaningful part was serving in the local community. I have never seen children so overjoyed simply because someone showed up. That experience changed me.

At the end of the two weeks, I received a Certificate of Achievement, was selected from a group of 90 participants to deliver the closing speech, and even won best karaoke duo with my best friend. More than the recognition, the experience deepened my gratitude and broadened my perspective in ways that will stay with me for years to come.
